Born in Rautahat's headquarter Gaur on Falgun 26,2009, Madhav Kumar Nepal is the present General Secretary of the UML. He entered the world of politics at the tender age of 13. He jointed the Communitst party of Nepal as a member in 2026. By the year 2028, he was leading as an active student leader. In the year 1975, he helped establish the Coordination Committee of the party. He was imprisoned for two years in 1976, on political offence. In 1990, he acted as a member of the Nepal Constitution Improvement Suggestion Commission. He has also been a member of National Development Council and National Water Resources Council. Nepal has led UML as the General Secretary since 1993.
