Honorable Pashupati Shumsher J.B. Rana

Pashupati Shamsher Rana was born in Kathmandu on May 7, 1941. He was nominated a member of interim parliament in 2006. In 2001, he was elected the Chairman of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party. From 1973 to 2006, he represented his party continuouly in the National Legislature. He held the portfolio of Member of parliament from 1991 to 2003. He held the ministerial portfolio a number of times, as well as other significant positions inthe government.
He hails from a prominent Rana family and was educated in Nepal and Bishop Cotton's School: Simla, India and in England.
