Nepal Communist Party (Joined Marxist)
The history of CPN (United Marxist) also starts with the history of communist movement in Nepal on September 15, 1949, with the initiative of Puspa Lal Shrestha. On September 15, 2003 two parties namely CPN (Marxist) and CPN (United) merged to form CPN (United Marxist). Hemanda BC was elected party president and Lok Narayan Subedi became general secretary. The party is advocating socialism and communism through new democracy. It was registered at election commission ahead of CA election.
