Rastriya Janta Dal

Rastriya Janata Dal was founded in 2007 by Bharat Prasad Mahato. Mahato is a civil society activist and served as the president of an organization called Federation of Marginalized Groups in the past. The federation has representation of 30 marginalized communities that neither come under the category of indigenous nor dalit. The party is advocating greater rights for the same communities. It is participating in the CA election with the agenda of proportional representation on the basis of ethnicity.
